Jazzercise is as Embarrassing as I Thought it Would be!

Being the procrastinator that I am I have not lost the baby weight from my baby TODDLER! I have started and stopped many, many, many, many, MANY diets and workout routines. Counting calories, planning meals, following the food pyramid, Lean Cuisine, Weight Watchers, Curves, 24 hour fitness centers, and my own elliptical machine are all efforts that I have started and stopped almost as quickly. What's my deal? Why can't I just exercise, eat right and reap the rewards of a significantly smaller waistline and a single digit pant size? JUST "GET IT TOGETHER!!" I want to scream at myself. However, I don't. Mostly I just shed a few tears and grab a bag of fruit snacks and continue feeling like a miserable, doomed failure.

NOT FOR A MOMENT LONGER WILL I ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!

I can procrastinate on my homework and get it down by the deadline. I can procrastinate on cleaning and still do it when the laundry piles up, the sink is full of dishes, the floor is covered in fur, and I cannot make it two steps without tripping over Aiden's toys. I can procrastinate on seeing the new movie that looks good or making that scrapbooking page without feeling too guilty. But I will not procrastinate on myself anymore!

I DESERVE THIS!
I CAN DO THIS!
I WILL DO THIS!

So, my dear friend Katie (with whom I have been seeking the *perfect* form of exercise with) texted me with a great deal. Two months of unlimited Jazzercise and no sign up fee for $40. We jumped on the deal and got our friend Jen in on it too. We made a deal to start that Monday. The perfect procrastinator I am got filled with anxiety on Monday afternoon. How will I get out of this!?! NO! That will not get you a smaller pant size! GO GO GO!

So go I went and Jazz I conquered! It felt difficult, amazing, empowering, silly, confusing. . . There was lots of confusion. Wait, which right? And my arms have to do what while my legs are going where? But 60 minutes later I felt stronger, more confident, and ready to go every single day.

I cannot wait to keep up this exercise routine  lifestyle. I will officially be crossing off weight loss off of my To Procrastinate On list. Next I will tackle my love addiction to all edible things that make my butt big!
